Do What You Love and Money Will Follow

I remember when the book came out entitled, "Do What You Love and Money Will Follow." It certainly is an overstatement. There are people doing exactly what they love in the world and are poor. I have always admired what Mother Theresa did in India. She fed and ministered to people who could not repay her. Though we may not be of the same beliefs I do admire the work she did. I did not see countless dollar bills following her. We met a man in Baton Rouge that is working among poor homeless people. He helps see to their physical needs and provides meals to them. On Sundays they have a church service out of doors. If it rains they go under an overpass. I did not see money by the oodles following him. The Word of Jesus does however provide something better than money.

It says this in Psalms 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

If you do what you love who knows money may follow you. I would however encourage you to follow Jesus. If you follow His ways goodness and mercy will follow you. I would rather follow a sure thing than follow a fad.

We need to follow Jesus in all His ways including the following:

Psalms 101:5
Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

I am so amazed that people will go to church and shout all over the place and speak in other tongues and maybe even during the meeting someone will get behind the pulpit and speak things that just have no factual base. We need to watch that as Ananias and Sapphira were put into their early graves that we too do not face such a plight. We cannot preach that Jesus is the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob then live like there is no punishment for sin. Gossip and slander are sin and will keep you out of heaven. Jesus loves unity among Brothers and Sisters. His word also tells us to love our neighbors. We want an Apostolic move of the Holy Ghost in our midst and our churches but are we being honest? If we have one there may be many more head stones in the graveyards. I wonder if we are really discerning the "Body of Jesus Christ?" Are we recognizing that when we are fighting the work of the Church of Jesus Christ that we are fighting against Jesus? Maybe it comes down to the fact that we don't recognize where the church really is. Do we realize that the temple of the Holy Ghost(Who is the Holy Ghost Apostolic believers?) resides in our Brother and Sister? We preach it but do we practice it?
Just some thoughts today.
In Jesus,
