Christians must have holy thoughts! Are your thoughts always acceptable to God?
“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Your thoughts come from basically 4 areas:
1. Yourself
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

3. Demon(s) / Satan
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5
“Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts [are] against me for evil.” Psalm 56:5
“The thoughts of the righteous [are] right: [but] the counsels of the wicked [are] deceit.” Proverbs 12:5
“The thoughts of the wicked [are] an abomination to the LORD: but [the words] of the pure [are] pleasant words.” Proverbs 15:26

4. God
“For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

Conclusion

If you have a thought you know you should not be thinking, come against it. If you think a demon is putting the thought there, come against the demon/Satan using Jesus as your authority. Example: ‘In the name of Jesus I command you demon/Satan to not put thoughts into my mind or to bother me. You are to stay away from me in the name of Jesus!’ Satan tempted Jesus; he maybe tempting you. If your friend(s) is saying things that are causing you to have bad thoughts, explain the problem to your friend(s). Friends do play a big part in our thought life. Please be careful what you read or listen to. Ask Jesus what you should do in all situations.
