I Am Not My Hair, Skin or Clothes!

Recently in reading an article describing a young African American woman who sings a song speaking about what is real and important to her entitled,"I Am Not My Hair" it struck a chord in my heart.
This hit so close to home for me because I have very curly long black hair and for so long have tried to get it as straight as possible but to no avail. I decided one day to stop fighting it and just be who I am naturally.
We as human beings can see so shallowly when we only view things in this realm with the natural eye. We don't see sometimes past the hair, or dress or skin or color of another.

When we are younger blemishes sometimes give us problems. They seem like the most horrible thing in the world when you are eleven or twelve years old or a teenager.Yet as we mature we realize they are nothing compared to world hunger and poverty or major issues battling people. Yet to the young person looking in the mirror it seems that they are a huge issue. It marks a sign of maturity when a person can see beyond the natural realm into the supernatural realm of Jesus' Spirit. To be able to see the Kingdom of God only comes to those with the Spirit of God. Those who are born into the Kingdom can see the Kingdom of God.

Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

We don't have to guess the workings of the Spirit of Jesus as we are able to see them daily. Many times in the Bible people did not see the Supernatural though it was there. Joshua in the following passages saw something great and mighty.

Jos 5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
Jos 5:14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?
Jos 5:15 And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

We as the Children of Jesus Christ need to recognize that there is more to life than what we see with our natural eyes. We need to ask Jesus today to help us see in the Spirit Realm and proclaim the wonderful workings of Jesus. What a blessing it is to know that we may be judged in the natural realm by skin or hair or clothing as often people do when they are shallow but in the Spirit Realm we are seen covered by the Red Blood of Jesus Christ and will not be judged in Heaven because of it. Thankfully the price has already been paid for our lives. We are no longer our own but belong to Jesus Christ. Let us stay under the blood covering where it is safe.
In Jesus,
