The Revised Standard Version and the UPCI

THE REVISED STANDARD VERSION

Adopted by the General Conference in 1953
Inasmuch as the United Pentecostal Church believes in the inspiration of the holy Scriptures, given to us by holy men of God who spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost, and [inasmuch as] we believe the Scriptures to be the Word of God given to us by divine authority,
We hereby declare our position regarding the new translation of the Bible in modern speech known as the Revised Standard Version of the Bible, copyrighted by the National Council of Churches in America:
Whereas upon examining the Revised Standard Version of the Bible we find [that] many [passages concerning] the fundamentals of our Christian faith and doctrine have been changed and are very misleading, namely, the virgin birth of Christ, remission of sins as taught in the New Testament, the deity of Christ, and other truths, and
Whereas a majority of the committee of translators themselves, according to their associations, connections and records, are [shown] to be modernist and liberal scholars who do not believe or embrace the revealed truths of God's holy Word, including the plan of God's salvation, . . .
Be it therefore resolved that the United Pentecostal Church International declare its disapproval of the Revised Standard Version of the Bible, copyrighted by the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the U.S.A.
Be it further resolved that we continue to accept the King James Version of the Bible as the most accurate translation of the Scriptures to be used in our churches and among our people.
The above is a position paper of the United Pentecostal Church International and is provided for informational purposes.

General Conference, UPCI

Hello Friends,

We are at the general conference for the UPCI. It is a great place to be! The preaching is the best I have ever heard! Pastors Jerry Jones and Jeff Arnold have preached sermons dealing with more than salvation!

We have a table in the exhibit hall selling books I have written. We are meeting a lot of Christians.

Dr. Klein

Apostolic Tracts in Foreign Languages

Hello Friends,

Do you need tracts written in foreign languages?

Below is a link to Apostolic tracts.

There is a large problem with these tracts from the UPCI, they use Satan's perverted bibles. The only Bible available today that is acceptable is the King James Bible. All other so-called Bibles are perversions. Someday hopefully, real Christians will translate a New Testament based on Jesus' preserved Word. Until then, the King James Bible is the best!

A thought would be to take the foreign language tract, then replace the perverted Scriptures with Jesus' best translation. If you would like to know which is the best in a certain language, please email me.

Apostolic - Pentecostal

Hello Students,

What is the difference between the use of the words 'Pentecostal' and 'Apostolic'?

United Pentecostal Church International is an Apostolic denomination.
http://www.upci.org/about.asp
Oneness of God
http://www.upci.org/about.asp#oneness

International Pentecostal Holiness Church is a denomination which is not Apostolic in doctrine. They use the word 'Pentecostal'.

Trinitarian

Pentecostal Church of God is a denomination which is not Apostolic in doctrine. They use the word 'Pentecostal'.

Trinitarian
http://www.pcg.org/cgi-bin/gx.cgi/AppLogic+FTContentServer?pagename=FaithHighway/10000/7000/880PE/main_believe

My reason for documenting Pentecostal denominations is to show the use of the word 'Pentecostal' is used by those who are and aren't Apostolic. The word 'Apostolic' is more definitive; the word 'Apostolic' is more exact in describing what I believe. The word 'Pentecostal' maybe describing someone who does not hold to Christian doctrine.

So consequently, I use the word 'Apostolic' because it identifies me as one who believes the Godhead is not composed of three persons, and that a Christian is one who has been water baptized in Jesus' name and has been Holy Spirit baptized with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Some Apostolics teach Pentecostals have more of an outward holiness position than Apostolics. Overall, most Pentecostals cut their hair and wear pants. Most Apostolics don't cut their hair or wear pants. So, which word would you like to use? Apostolic or Pentecostal?

I have chosen to use the word 'Apostolic'!
