A few months back, the chief of police who regularly attends a certain Apostolic church was asked by a man this question. 'Now that we know each other, can I speed through your town without getting a speeding ticket?' The chief of police responded by saying, 'I won't give you a speeding ticket; I'll shoot you!'
Jesus says, we are brothers, or you are my sister. Do we now think we can sin because we are Jesus' friend? Are we now special? Can we now sin without consequence? Do you think you are special which means Jesus now winks at your sin?
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" Acts 17:30
"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17
Do you lie? Do you steal? Do you look at pornography? Do you _____ ? What keeps you from living a holy life? What keeps you from a closer communion with Jesus? What is going to keep you from Heaven?
