The New Covenant was preserved by God. His Word states He has preserved His Word.
The Greek Orthodox Church has preserved the Biblical Greek text for almost 2,000 years. It is God's inspired Word. It has not changed; it is preserved.

“But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” 1 Peter 1:25
“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” Isaiah 40:8
The promised preservation of God’s Words
"The Words of the LORD [are] pure Words: [as] silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. (7) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." Psalm 12:6-7
"He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the Word [which] He commanded to a thousand generations." Psalms 105:8

God is not concerned with original Scripture. Moses destroyed tablets written by God. God simply replaced them. God commanded Jeremiah to toss original Scripture in a river (Jeremiah 51:63).
"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." I Peter 1:23
"But the Word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by gospel is preached unto you." I Peter 1:25
The Word of God equals Scripture"...unto whom the Word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken;" John 10:35
"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual." I Corinthians 2:13
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my Words shall not pass away." Matthew 24:35
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my Words shall not pass away." Mark 13:31
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my Words shall not pass away." Luke 21:33
Do you believe that God can keep His "Word"?
