Is the prosperity gospel for a Christian?
I have yet to receive money from prosperity preachers even though I am on their mailing lists. They write teaching that if I would give them money, I would be blessed a hundred times. Why don't they give me money, so they would be blessed a hundred times over? I know people who send a lot of money, yet they are poor. While Kenneth Copeland, John Hagee, etc. receive salaries of about and some over one million dollars.
What does the Holy Bible say?
Peter the Apostle didn't have a TV program to beg for money. Peter lived by faith. When Peter needed money, he had it. Jesus promises to provide for all of our needs!
"Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk." Acts 3:6
" Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days." James 5:1-3
You must decide where materialism and wealth fits into your life.
